微藻培養工程
----Microalgal Engineering at the University of Adelaide

阿德雷德大學化學工程學院的微藻工程研究小組(MERG)致力于應用湖沼與藻類學和生物技術的研究、咨詢和技術開發及其在工業、社會和環境領域的應用。目前的研究主題集于微藻在商業化生產和環境領域的應用以及水質控制過程。MERG的目標是深化對微藻生態學的了解以推動商業化規模的微藻培養技術的開發,這一技術對于生物活性物質、水產養殖餌料、精細化學品和可再生燃料的生產是必需的。另外,如CO2的生物修復和微藻過度生長的控制等涉及環境領域的課題也是MERG所關注的對象。本次講座將對MERG近期正在進行的科研活動進行概述,并詳細介紹有關光生物反應器模型和可降解聚合物PHB生產藻種的篩選工作。
The School of Chemical Engineering has a strong research team that is focused on solving problems and providing answers for industry and the wider community. Research is principally in the areas of:

Current research themes of the Microalgal Engineering Research Group (MERG) include commercial and environmental applications of microalgae, and water quality processes. This talk will present an overview of current and recent research activities undertaken by the MERG followed a more in-depth look at modeling of photobioreactors and screening of microalgae for the production of the biodegradable polymer, Polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB)
