This specification covers the requirements for four types of welded austenitic stainless steel tube of outside diameter not exceeding 57 mm, each type being subdivided into Class A (general engineering purpose tube) and Class B (low pressure hydraulic tube). NOTE a) The titles of standards referred to by number in the specification are given in Appendix A. b) Requirements that must be specified by the purchaser and those that must be agreed upon are listed in Appendix B. c) A table of non-metric sizes of welded Austenitic stainless steel tube (to be retained only while non-metric units are still in use) is given in Appendix C. ^Conversion factors are given in Appendix D.
