葡萄若缺硼素會抑制花粉發育與發芽，花蕾不能正常開放，花冠干枯不能正常脫落。嚴重缺硼時大量落蕾，新梢頂端卷須干枯，節間變短，組織硬而脆；葉脈間出現黃化，葉面凹凸不平，或向背面翻卷。

葡萄缺硼時，畝施 0.75 ～ 1.5 公斤硼砂，籬架每株用 30 ～ 60 克為宜。在開花前葉面噴布 0.1 ～ 0.2 ％的硼砂溶液有明顯效果。
