0Rz;{$P?0x2p3S0    The major components of this system consist of a electronic microbalance（response limit: 1 μg）and a gas flow controller placed in an incubator. The electric balance is placed in an individual thermal insulation area. There is a temp/humidity probe in the sample area as well as the reference area. A moisture producing device is placed on the back of the instrument. There are two lines of carrier gas, a dry gas and a moisture saturation gas. They are mixed, resulting in gas flow with a series of set humidity values via the gas flow controller, according to the set method. The sample is spread on the sample plate of the balance, and the mixed gas flows through the sample area and reference area simultaneously. We can study physicochemical phenomenon of the sample, such as moisture adsorption equilibrium, adsorption and desorption, diffusion through monitoring the sample’s weight change complying with the variation of humidity and time. DVS is widely used in the drug R﹠D field, such as formula rationality and uniformity examination, determination of low content amorphous substances in adjuvant, as well as coating and outer packing material scanning.
