礦棉絕熱氈及氈型管狀絕熱材料（金屬網覆蓋）（工業型）¹

此規范適用于礦棉絕熱氈及氈型管狀絕熱材料（金屬網覆蓋）（工業型）的組分、尺寸、物理性能。用于應用溫度低于環境0°F（?18°C）的冷表面和高達1200°F（649°C）的與大口徑容器和罐體的連接的熱表面。此溫度范圍外的特定實際應用由生產商和購買商之間協商。

ASTM C592-13規范將所涵蓋范圍內的礦棉氈絕熱材料應分為四種類型。

I型，II，和III被列為金屬網覆蓋氈，而第IV類為工業型、非金屬型網覆蓋（表面與非表面）毯。分類依據是最大使用溫度和表觀導熱系數。
