抗細菌性：
通過定量接種細菌于待檢樣品上，使細菌均勻接觸樣品，經過一定時間的培養后，測得樣品中的活菌數，并計算出樣品的抗細菌率。
菌種類型：大腸桿菌，金黃色葡萄球菌，綠膿桿菌...

抗真菌性（防霉性，抗霉菌性）：
測定抗菌塑料在霉菌生長的條件下對霉菌的抑制作用。通過直接觀測長霉程度來評價抗菌塑料的防霉等級。
菌種類型：黑曲霉，嗜松青霉，出芽短梗霉，球毛殼霉，綠粘帚霉...
